Dr. Ewald is from Connecticut but relocated to Pittsburgh after completing her training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Dr. Ewald has been a partner within the hospital since 2013 and stepped into the role of medical director in September 2023. She and her husband share their home with two canines, Rogue and Tater Tot. In her personal time, she is a competitive equestrian, avid Peloton enthusiast, and nature lover. Eric joined our hospital as the bookkeeper in 2012. In January of 2016, Eric accepted a full-time role as hospital manager. He received his BS in accounting from St. Francis University (PA) and his MBA from Troy University (AL). Since childhood, Eric has always had pets in his life, including dogs, cats, birds, and even a guinea pig, which his wife Lauren convinced him into adopting when they were dating in college. In his free time, Eric enjoys sports, the great outdoors, and having fun with his wife, their pets, and their three energetic children: Eli, Aubrey, and Evan.
