Dr. Ewald is from Connecticut but relocated to Pittsburgh after completing her training at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2006. Dr. Ewald has been a partner within the hospital since 2013 and stepped into the role of medical director in September 2023. She and her husband share their home with two canines, Rogue and Tater Tot. In her personal time, she is a competitive equestrian, avid Peloton enthusiast, and nature lover. For many years now, She has also operated as a regular volunteer and consultant for the Butler County Humane Society. Dr. Ewald enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine, but especially loves the long-term relationships she has formed with many clients and patients in her 18+ years with the hospital.
