Dr. Snell graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. After graduation, he completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in NY. Following his internship, Dr. Snell completed a residency in small animal surgery at the University of Pennsylvania/Veterinary Specialty and Emergency Center before becoming a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (Small Animal) in 2016. He was a staff surgeon at BluePearl Veterinary Partners in Waltham for four years before he accepted the role of Medical Director of their Boston location in 2018. Dr. Snell went on to complete a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the University of Florida before joining the staff at VCA South Shore (Weymouth) Animal Hospital in 2023 as Medical Director and head of the Surgical Oncology service.

Dr. Snell has extensive expertise in surgical oncology and is committed to extending cancer patients' lives through surgical intervention. Outside of the operating room, Dr. Snell works hand-in-hand with our expansive management team to support our culture of continuous improvement, advanced medicine and compassionate care.
