Dr. Catalano was born and raised in Toronto. After earning a degree in Zoology from the University of Guelph, he moved to the Caribbean island of St. Kitts to attend Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. He completed his 4th year clinical rotations at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University here in Massachusetts. He then went on to complete a rotating internship at the Mississauga Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Oakville, Ontario where he was drawn to the fast-paced world of emergency medicine.
In 2020, he joined VCA South Shore's Emergency and Critical Care team as an emergency clinician. Dr. Catalano's special interests include acute gastrointestinal distress and pediatrics.
