Dr. Angelyn Cornetta graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. She then completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery, followed by a residency in internal medicine at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. She subsequently spent two years as a Clinical Instructor at the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University. Dr. Cornetta became board certified in internal medicine by the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine and joined the staff at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital as an Internist and Intern Director in 1998.
Dr. Cornetta sees patients on both the Internal Medicine Service and the Emergency Service. Her special interests include the diagnosis and treatment of hepatic, renal, gastrointestinal, respiratory and endocrine diseases. She also enjoys endoscopy, a modality that she received advanced training in during her residency.
