Dr. Balbine Jourdan, originally from Washington D.C., attended veterinary school at Ohio State University, where she achieved a combined degree: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) and Master of Public Health (MPH). Dr. Jourdan is excited to join the team at VCA Loomis Basin, where she will be able to work in a variety of departments and focus on multiple professional interests, which include behavior, surgery, and emergency medicine. With a passion for public health, Dr. Jourdan wants to educate the public on important topics such as preventative medicine, zoonotic (infections spread between animals and humans), and conservation medicine.
Outside of work, Dr. Jourdan enjoys climbing, soccer, puzzles, and birding. She has a Pit-bull mix named Reiji.
