Dr. Abbott moved to the northwest after she earned her Bachelor’s Degree (Business Administration/Finance/Spanish) and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia. She is a USDA accredited veterinarian and handles many of VCA Laurelhurst's international/domestic health certificates and travel certifications. Her professional interests have a focus on enhancing the human-animal bond. She feels this is especially important during the geriatric years, and provides consultation on noninvasive management of our older companion's body through physical therapy and pain management.

Dr. Abbott shares her life with her husband, her darling sons, a mischievous cat named Gary Katz, and a handsome lab mix, Taco. When she is not in the hospital she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, backpacking, traveling, distance running, biking, and gardening home-grown veggies.
