Dr. Wong received his veterinary degree from the University of California, Davis in 1992. He performed his internship at Angell Memorial Animal Hospital in Boston, MA, after which he remained on staff. He spent three years in private practice in Los Angeles and then moved to Sacramento to complete an emergency/critical care residency program through UC Davis and Sacramento Animal Medical Group. He became board certified in Emergency/Critical Care Medicine in 2007. He has been an active executive board member in the Sacramento Valley Veterinary Medical Association for over 12 years and is currently a CVMA delegate and treasurer of that organization. He, too, has recently become an executive board member for the SPCA. He has received various community service awards including his most recent award from the City of Sacramento Police Department. Dr. Wong was a long-standing advisory board member of the award-winning Clinician's Brief Magazine. He is a frequent local speaker. His areas of special veterinary interest are emergency medicine and surgery, critical care, laser surgery, and community service where he has been busy providing classroom education to local schools for over 25 years now.
