Dr. Emily Ryan attended the University of California at Davis where she first received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with an emphasis in Genetics, followed by participation in the Veterinary Scientist Training Program. Through this program, she earned a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, as well as a PhD in Genetics and Genomics. Following graduation, she completed an Equine Medicine and Surgery Internship and then worked as an associate veterinarian at a referral equine practice in Montana. After meeting her husband, Dr. Ryan moved from Montana to Colorado in 2021 to be closer to his family's ranch in southern Wyoming and her family in southern Colorado. With this move came a switch from equine to small animal practice and Dr. Ryan has been loving the change. Her professional interests include dentistry, endocrinology, and preventative medicine. When not at work, Dr. Ryan enjoys hiking and camping with her husband, daughter, and Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retrievers, Gilly and Yeti. Her gray tabby, Tenaya, prefers to stay at home and make herself available for snuggles.
