Dr. Barnstable is a graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She also holds a Master of Science’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania. While in veterinary school, she spent time working in developing countries to improve animal health and she organized educational programs for Philadelphia school children on animal care and safety.
Dr. Barnstable joined VCA in 2012 and became the Medical Director in 2016. She believes that veterinary medicine is an integral part of a community and that maintaining the human-animal bond is paramount to maintaining a pet’s health. Her professional interests include wellness and preventative care, senior care, and public health.
When not at the hospital, Dr. Barnstable enjoys spending time with her husband, three young sons, three cats, and timid dog. She also enjoys being outdoors, reading, and cooking.
