Dr. Jacqueline Ortiz is originally from Memphis, TN. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, in 2007. She spent her sophomore year of college living in Florence, Italy, and moved to London, England, after graduation. Dr. Ortiz then decided to return to her roots for veterinary school graduating from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. She practiced companion animal medicine in Nashville, TN, before joining VCA Arbor Animal Hospital in fall 2016. She has served as medical director since 2018.
In her free time, she spends time with her husband, Antonio, two children, Vivienne and James, and their border collie, Cuatro. She loves to travel, hike, read, and considers herself a foodie. She loves all cats and dogs, but golden retrievers have a very special place in her heart!
