Dr. Aaron W. Wilfert graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1999 and has spent his career as a mixed-animal practioner. After working for three years in northeast Texas, Dr. Wilfert moved to Shiner to expound in his skills in bovine reproduction and farm animal medicine. Upon meeting his wife, Whitney, they opened a mixed-animal practice in Edna, Texas, where as a solo practioner, Dr. Wilfert treated small, large, exotic, wildlife and pocket-pet animals. They have been blessed with three children; the oldest is currently in his first year at the United States Air Force Academy, the middle enjoys academic exchanges abroad, and the youngest is currently studying in the Certified Veterinary Assistant (CVA) program. Dr. Wilfert spends his free time serving the Crossroads Community in multiple service organizations, where he and his family serve the youth and other underserved populations. He also enjoys running in various local 5K fundraisers as a way to bring awareness to local organizations. Dr. Wilfert began a new chapter of his career in 2022 by joining the VCA Victoria veterinary team and is eager to build upon his talents in small animal surgery.
