Dr. Mele has had the opportunity to be in the forefront of the development of new and innovative bone grafting techniques, materials, and dental implantology. Collaboration with leading researchers, human oral surgeons, and biomaterial engineers, gives Dr. Mele opportunity to implement innovative techniques and materials into his oral surgical protocols for cats and dogs.
Many of Dr. Mele’s techniques discussed in a book he co-authored called "Dental Implants for Small Animals" which covers all aspects of veterinary dental implants.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and family, watching dental surgery videos, and walking his rescue Chihuahua named Mac.
