Dr. Mariah Gentes joined the Southwick Animal Hospital team in January 2010. Born and raised in Connecticut, Dr. Gentes graduated from the University of Connecticut summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 1999. After one year of national service in Americorps and two years as a Veterinary Technician, she attended the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine graduating summa cum laude in 2006. She then completed a one year small animal medicine and surgery internship at the Animal Medical Center in NYC. In her free time, Dr. Gentes enjoys traveling, being active outdoors, and spending time with her husband, two children, and her troupe of cats at home.
