Dr. Tison was born and raised in Southern Maine in a small rural town where her love of animals was born as well as her desire to be a veterinarian. She attended college on the island of Oahu where she graduated from Hawaii Pacific University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. From there, after finding a love for travel, she attended The University of Glasgow School of Veterinary Medicine in Scotland and earned her veterinary degree in 2013.
After veterinary school, she completed a one year rotating small animal internship in medicine and surgery at VCA South Shore Animal Hospital just outside of Boston. Following her internship, she practiced emergency medicine at a referral practice for 4 years prior to joining VCA Southwick Animal Clinic in early 2018. Dr Tison enjoys general practice and getting to know clients and their furry family members. She recently completed an Acupuncture course at The Chi Institute and is thrilled to offer an integrated approach to pain management for many of her patients.
Dr. Tison enjoys living in Western Massachusetts and experiencing all the valley has to offer. She particularly loves hiking, camping, and being outdoors as much as possible and sharing her life with her husband, two cats, Tailypo and Winky, and two mice, Deerfield and Fiona.
