Born and raised in Lancaster County, Dr. Shellenberger began his veterinary career at Smoketown in 1978. Dr. Shellenberger credits a great team of doctors and an excellent support staff for the current success of the practice.

When not at the hospital, Dr. Shellenberger enjoys spending time with his wife, Ann, his three daughters, their husbands, four grandchildren, one grand-dog, and two grand-cats. He is an avid boater on the Chesapeake Bay and, of course, enjoys eating crabs.
