I have been on staff at VCA Simmons Animal Hospital since 2002. I share my life and home with two black labs, Hunter and Freyja, as well as three cats, Little Kitty, Colby and Taz. I grew up in South Florida and graduated from Florida Atlantic University School of Biological Sciences in 1988 and from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. I practiced in the Jacksonville area for 10 years before moving to the Orlando area and joining VCA. I developed an interest in complementary medicine to augment her practice of veterinary medicine. In 2001 I was certified by the AVCA in animal chiropractic. I was certified as a veterinary acupuncturist and herbalist by the Chi Institute and the China Society of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine in 2000 and 2001 respectively. In 2009, I received certification for Tui-Na, a form of gentle manipulation. I have a special interest in internal medicine and critical care.

My hobbies include cooking and yoga.
