We are very pleased to provide your companion with a safe, comfortable, and friendly place to call home while you’re away. A key advantage to having your pet stay with us is that we are a hospital with highly-skilled veterinarians and nursing staff ready to handle any emergency that may arise.
All of our guests are offered clean, comfortable bedding for their room. You are welcome to bring your own bedding from home as long as it is machine washable and can fit into our washer. You are encouraged to bring your pet's own diet from home. We ask if your pet is on a special diet or a prescription diet that you bring a sufficient amount for the length of your pet's stay. Our regular kennel diet, Veterinarian recommended Hill’s Science Diet Sensitive Stomach and Skin, will be provided as needed. Fresh water is always available for all our guests, and a clean litter pan is available at all times for our feline guests.
Medications: All of our clinical staff at VCA Portage Animal Hospital are trained to administer medication to pets. If your pet is on any medications we ask you bring it in its original bottle(s) please.
Feline Boarding: Each feline friend has an accommodation of a double suite kennel in a climate controlled environment. Our cat kennels have a large window with a remote shade as well as a ledge to perch on to watch wildlife and/or bask in the warm sun.
Required Vaccines: For the safety of your companion and the health of all of our guests we require all our feline guests to be current on the following:
Feline Playtimes: Each boarding cat will receive hands-on attention multiple times per day. All of our guests are offered toys to play with and treats (if permitted).
