Shawn is a Certified Veterinary Technician and has been with VCA for five years. She received her A.S in Veterinary Technology from Eastern Florida State College in December 2015. In March of 2016 she took the National Board Exam to get her Veterinary Technician Certification. If you asked her what she liked most about her job, she’d say “What I love most about my job is that we get to build relationships with the pets and clients throughout the life of the pet.” Her professional goals include getting her Veterinary Technician Specialty (VTS) in a specific field of veterinary medicine, though she’s not sure what to pursue just yet.

Her furry family includes Biggie Smalls, a retired rescue greyhound. Outside of work, she enjoys fishing, working out, kayaking, reading, learning and perfecting ASL, and playing at the park with Biggie.
