Dr. Chris Taylor is the Medical Director here at VCA Orange City Animal Hospital. Dr. Taylor grew up north of Detroit and graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Dr. Taylor has been practicing Veterinarian Medicine for 31 years as a general practitioner for dogs and cats. He has been the owner of several successful practices and has experience in emergency medicine. Dr. Taylor has practiced Veterinarian medicine in Southwest Michigan, Harrisonburg, Virginia, and Fort Myers, Florida.
Dr. Taylor and his wife, Sheila, moved to Orange City to be near their developmentally disabled daughter, Mary, who resides at the Duvall Homes. They have been married for 35 years and also have a son, Benjamin, with daughter-in-law, Andriena, as well as another daughter, Sharon, with son-in-law, James. Dr. Taylor has a Ragdoll cat named Lilah and enjoys the company of Jasper, the clinic cat, while at work. He enjoys the outdoors, driving his electric UTV, and of course hunting the elusive Big Foot.
