Dr. Savannah Mott was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, and has grown up with a variety of animals. Dr. Mott received a BS in Veterinary Science at the University of Arizona. She received additional training abroad in Greece in wildlife management and rehabilitation before moving to Ames, IA where she earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.

Dr. Mott presently has two cats and a gecko. Her hobbies include hiking, reading, running, horseback riding and traveling.
