Dr. David Vaas was born and raised in Greeley, Colorado. At a young age he participated in a variety of athletic activities including soccer, basketball, swimming and baseball.

Dr. Vaas also enjoyed the outdoor activities that Colorado had to offer including hiking, biking and fishing. Dr. Vaas attended Western State College in Gunnison, Colorado where he earned his degree in chemistry.
During his college years, Dr. Vaas competed intercollegiately in basketball. Upon completion of his studies, David spent a year pursuing another of his passions: golf where he served as a golf professional at a local country club. He left this profession after gaining admission to Colorado State University where he completed his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2001.

He has practiced his entire career in the Salt Lake Valley. He lives in Herriman with his wife and two children.

Dr. Vaas has developed a strong interest and skill set in surgery, internal medicine, ultrasound and client education. Dr. Vaas considers his most important philosophy in practice being exceptional care for people’s pets.
