We use the HomeAgain microchip for permanent pet identification. Collars and tags can fall off or be removed. When a lost pet is brought to us and has a microchip, we know there's a family somewhere missing their pet. It's only a matter of hours or days before we're able to locate and reunite them with their missing pet.
Identifying your pet with a microchip is a simple and quick process; a small microchip, the size of a grain of rice, is inserted by injection under the skin. Once the chip is placed we get the registration process started online so your pet's protection starts before you walk out our doors. When you get home, you can update information and add photos of your pet on the HomeAgain website.
HomeAgain's Proactive Pet Recovery Program reunites 10,000 pets a month. Your first year in this program is prepaid with the purchase of the microchip. You'll have the option to renew each year if you choose. If you decline, you will be moved into the Basic Program which means your information will continue to be stored in the database permanently and you can still update your contact information as needed at no charge.
