Andrew Murray
Veterinarian BVMS
Born and raised in Toronto, Dr. Murray completed a Bachelor of Science with a focus on Biology and Geography at the University of Western Ontario. He has had a keen interest for science and loved animals for as long as he can remember, making it an easy choice
to continue on to become a veterinarian.

He ventured across the Atlantic for his Veterinary Degree, which he completed at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. After 4 years in Europe, during which he travelled to more than 10 different countries, played in an ultimate Frisbee team that won the UK championships AND completed his honours degree of course, he returned back to Toronto and has been with us at Mt Pleasant Davisville animal hospital since October 2018.

His veterinary interests lie in dentistry and dermatology, however he enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine. He loves all animals but admittedly he has a soft spot for dogs, in particular Shetland Sheepdogs. Shelties have been in his family for generations and the current edition is called Islay - she is named after the Scottish island, and can occasionally be seen in the clinic or roaming the streets of Leaside. In his spare time, Dr. Murray enjoys spending time with Islay, playing Ultimate Frisbee and learning Swedish as he not only obtained a veterinary degree in Europe, but also a Swedish girlfriend!

Dr. Murray looks forward to meeting you and your four-legged friends in the clinic!
