Jarrod started working as a Veterinary Assistant at VCA MidWest Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center in 2013 while attending Vatterott College and pursuing a degree in Veterinary Technology. He graduated in 2014 with an Associates of Applied Sciences of Veterinary Technology degree, and he then took on the role of an Emergency and ICU Technician.
Born and raised in Omaha, animals have been one of his biggest passions since he was a child. He finds Emergency and Critical Care to be both very intense and very rewarding. Seeing the smiles on the faces of the families of the animals he cares for and seeing their happy little tails wag when they get to go home means everything. His ability to confidently connect with clients helps to ensure they are as informed and comfortable as possible in entrusting their animal's care to our team. He enjoys being able to work in a facility with such tremendously skilled doctors and technicians where he can continue to learn to utilize his skills to their full potential.
When not taking care of animals, Jarrod is a professional fire performer and spends time running, playing video games, and taking care of his hedgehog, Zelda.
