Dear Colleagues,
VCA MidWest Veterinary Referral & Emergency Center is committed to providing high-level professional development opportunities for veterinarians throughout the Heartland. Through our MidWest Advanced Veterinary Learning Institute (MAVLI), we sponsor various events, including the Arbor Veterinary Symposium, the Great Plains Tour, and Radiation Safety Training. Please visit www.vcamavli.org for more information.
Historically, we have offered MidWest Interactive Learning Opportunities or MILO, monthly resident-level case-based rounds with our board-certified veterinary specialists conducted at our hospital. With construction well underway for our state-of-art expansion, we need to suspend our MILO program at this time. As an alternative, we’re offering a new learning opportunity called Clinical Case Consults. Each month you’ll receive via email an in-depth case discussion describing a medical or surgical problem we commonly encounter through our specialty services and/or Emergency Department. Each Clinical Case Consult will review typical patient historical data and physical examination findings, as well as appropriate diagnostic testing and accepted therapeutic approaches. I sincerely hope you’ll find these Clinical Case Consults interesting and informative.
As always, thank you for partnering with us for your patient’s needs. We truly enjoy collaborating with you, and look forward to working with you whenever we can be of service to you, your patients, and their families.
Sincerely,
Christopher G. Byers, DVM, DACVECC, DACVIM (SAIM), CVJ
