Dr. Shaw graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. Following graduation, she served as a visiting instructor in the Anatomy Department at NCSU-CVM from 1996 to 1998.
In 2001, Dr. Shaw relocated to the Charlotte area and practiced at Sharon Lakes Animal Hospital before dedicating three years to the Emergency and Critical Care service at Carolina Veterinary Specialists.
In 2004, Dr. Shaw earned her certification in Canine Rehabilitation from the University of Tennessee and subsequently founded Carolina Canine Rehab Clinic in November of the same year.
In 2008, she purchased Indian Land Animal Hospital and, in 2013, they opened the new hospital that we have today. Dr. Shaw's professional interests include pain management, rehabilitation, geriatrics, and soft tissue surgery.
In 2019, Dr. Shaw decided to take a step back to spend time with her husband David, their two children, and their five dogs. She enjoys traveling, hiking, exploring, and spending quality time with loved ones.
