Our team of practitioners has over 20 years of dental care experience and can evaluate the needs of your pet and accurately prescribe the appropriate care. At your pet's yearly examination it may be determined that they require a dental cleaning. Routine veterinary dentistry involves prophylaxis (teeth cleaning), polishing and a full oral examination.
Dental prophylaxis is performed with your pet under general anesthesia. It involves cleaning the surface of each tooth and scaling below the gumline, where food, bacteria, and tartar build up. To ensure the safety of your pet, pre-operative blood work will be performed prior to the anesthesia.
During a dental procedure, we will evaluate your pet's teeth for fractures, cavities, excessive wear, and other abnormalities. We will also examine around your pet's gums to detect periodontal disease.
Digital Dental x-ray, is also available, providing us with state of the art technology to evaluate the health of your pet's teeth. Our hospital offers Advanced Dental Care techniques, including services such as root canals, root planning, crown placement, gingival (gum) surgery, and orthodontics.
Our Advanced Dental Services have been proudly provided to many area Police Departments as part of their Canine Officers dental service.
