Dr. Pirolo has a BS in Animal Science from the University of Vermont and Graduated from the Ross University or Veterinary Medicine. She attended her clinical rotations in Oklahoma State University. Dr. Pirolo started her veterinary career volunteering in local shelters in 2003. She has worked as a kennel attendant and veterinary assistant. She joined Hauppauge Animal Hospital's team of doctors in 2016. She has two Caribbean street dogs (also known as Coconut Retrievers) adopted from St. Kitts: Missy and Homer. Missy has severe anxiety issues and Homer has neurological deficits; they both LOVE living in the States with their mom. Dr. Pirolo enjoys traveling, relaxing in hammocks, dancing and recently: competitive Ballroom dancing! Getting married? Maybe she can help; she is a wedding officiant/Minister! If you've met Dr. Pirolo, you know that she loves all animals, but is a puppy fanatic. What she enjoys most about being a veterinarian is that she gets to be their voice and advocate.
