Get Tips for a Successful Trip

New environments can be stressful for any pet, we've got some tips for you.
During Your First Visit

During your pet’s first visit, your veterinarian will do a head-to-tail exam and check overall health, including the skin and coat, eyes and ears, teeth and gums, heart, lungs and other vital organs.

The veterinarian will also check your pet for fleas, ticks and other external parasites.

Your veterinarian will also ask questions about your pet’s diet, habits and activities, and discuss overall health and wellness including:

  • Vaccine History
  • Parasite Prevention
  • Spaying/Neutering
  • Dental Care
  • Microchipping
Ask Questions
Your first visit is an opportunity to ask any questions you may have about your pet's breed. Symptoms of many hereditary conditions are not always obvious, so awareness is important for early detection.

This is also a great time to ask for any recommendations or tips about care, training and feeding. Don't forget to schedule your pet's follow-up visit before you leave. After all, preventive care can help your pet live a longer and healthier life.

If you have any questions at all about your pet's upcoming visit, don't hesitate to contact us. We're looking forward to seeing you and your pet soon.

    SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS
Scheduled veterinary appointments provide a set time of day to see the doctor. Scheduled appointments will be given priority over walk-in urgent care appointments unless an emergency is present. To schedule an appointment please call our hospital at (760) 345-8227.

    BATH & TIDY APPOINTMENTS
Are your pet’s nails too long? Has your pet been scooting their back end on the floor? Does fluffy need a bath? These are all types of appointments that can be done in our Bath & Tidy Department. A current exam is required. Please call us at (760) 345-8227 to schedule an appointment and your pet will be totally pampered during their visit.

    WALK-IN URGENT CARE
We understand that when a pet gets sick, making an appointment is not always possible. Please call our office in advance of arriving and we will give you the next available time-slot in-between appointments that may have been scheduled. Please understand that there will be a wait to see the doctor and that this is a time-slot (not an appointment) in order to help the flow of urgent care needs we see daily.

    VETERINARY TECHNICIAN TREATMENTS
Technician treatments include but are not limited to: vaccines, immunizations, ear cleanings, blood work, re-check glucose, etc. Technician treatments may walk-in throughout our regular business hours to have a technician perform the above mentioned treatments and are on a first come, first served basis. A current exam is required. It is best to call and schedule a technician treatment appointment for the above mentioned treatments. Please call our hospital at (760) 345-8227 to schedule or if you have any questions.
