Casey always loved animals growing up. She was always around dogs, cats, rabbits and horses. Casey's grandmom would take her to the local shelters to hang out with all the animals that needed homes. At that point, she knew she wanted to work around animals but was not sure what she wanted to do with them. Casey took her family dog, Sheldon, to the veterinarian when she was in high school and as she was talking to the technician about her job, she knew right away that is what she wanted to do. Casey graduated from Harcum College for Veterinary Technicians in 2015 and decided to leave New Castle, Delaware, and move to the Eastern Shore. She worked at VCA for about five months then had to move back to Northern Delaware where she worked at an emergency hospital for small animals and exotics. As much as she loved working emergency, she realized she missed living at the beach. So she and her dogs, Princess and Blueberry, decided to move back and have been loving it! When she's not working, Casey is usually at the beach with her dogs, attending a music festival or hanging out with her friends/family.
"I could not imagine having any other job. I absolutely enjoy going to work every day knowing I am going to help animals out all day."
