Dr. Suzanne Cook Olson was born and raised in Minnesota. She received her B.A. from St. Olaf College (Northfield, MN) and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Minnesota. Upon graduation, she completed a small animal medicine and surgery internship at the University of Saskatchewan, then a residency in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee. Dr. Cook practiced in specialty hospitals in Santa Cruz and Chicago before relocating to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She joined the team at VCA Central Kitsap Animal Hospital in 2003, establishing the Internal Medicine Service, and served as Medical Director from 2011-2022. As a board-certified internist, Dr. Cook partners with her doctor coworkers and the local veterinary community to help pets with challenging or complicated illnesses. She is proud to be a Fear Free Certified Professional, and pledges to hold each pet's emotional, as well as physical, well-being in mind at all times.

Dr. Cook has two Golden Retrievers and one rather tolerant cat. In her free time, she enjoys walking and playing with her Goldens, home-improvement projects, supporting her three adult kids in their varied endeavors near and far, and spoiling her sweet granddaughter every chance she gets.
