Erin Pomponio began as a kennel assistant at VCA Blairstown Animal Hospital in May of 2008 and has been a certified veterinary technician there since 2010. She received her BFA from The College of New Jersey in 2008 and upon graduating she knew she needed to promptly go back to school to study veterinary technology. She graduated from Bergen County Community College with an Associate of Applied Science degree in Veterinary Technology in 2010. Since then, Erin has returned to school to become a middle school teacher of students with disabilities and is currently pursuing her PhD in mathematics education at Montclair State University...but she still enjoys being a part of the VCA Blairstown Animal Hospital on weekends! She lives in Blairstown with her husband, 2 dogs, and 4 cats. In her spare time, Erin likes to knit, relax with her animals, read a good book, go swing dancing, or spend time with friends and family.
