VCA Audubon Animal Hospital in Audubon, NJ, is a full-service dog and cat animal hospital. It is our commitment to provide quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime.
VCA Audubon has been in existence since 1958. In August of 2006, we started a major remodeling of our current facilities. We added approximately 75% more square feet to the building. As part of the renovation, we went from 2 to 4 exam rooms, a separate surgery suite, x-ray room, dental area, kennel, pharmacy and laboratory. To accommodate older and handicapped pets and clients, we installed a handicapped lift to the front of the building plus a hydraulic lift table. The hydraulic lift table can be used to transport pets from their car to the office via the handicapped lift.
We understand the special role your pet plays in your family and are dedicated to becoming your partner in your pet's health care. We treat your pet as we would our own. Our goal is to practice the highest quality medicine and surgery with compassion and an emphasis on client education. Our entire healthcare team is committed to providing personal attention to the unique concerns of each individual pet owner.

West Nile Virus
West Nile virus (WNV) is the leading cause of mosquito-borne disease in the continental United States. It is most commonly spread to people by the bite of an infected mosquito. Cases of WNV occur during mosquito season, which starts in the summer and continues through fall. There are no vaccines to prevent or medications to treat WNV in people. Fortunately, most people infected with WNV do not feel sick. About 1 in 5 people who are infected develop a fever and other symptoms. About 1 out of 150 infected people develop a serious, sometimes fatal, illness. You can reduce your risk of WNV by using insect repellent and wearing long-sleeved shirts and long pants to prevent mosquito bites.
