Dr. Schnabel was raised in Palos Verdes, California, with a menagerie of dogs, cats, fish and horses. She loved caring for the family pets and never wavered from her lifelong dream of becoming a vet. Dr. Schnabel attended Duke University, where she volunteered at the Duke Lemur Center. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania veterinary school, then completed an internship at VCA West Los Angeles. 

Dr. Schnabel loves to bake desserts, then go for long hikes so she can indulge in those desserts! She also enjoys concerts, movies, and international and domestic travel. She shares her home with two cats, adventurous best friends Cameron and Ferris.

Dr. Schnabel's professional interests include ophthalmology and endocrine diseases. She has been providing excellent care for the dog and cat patients here at VCA Arden since 2007.
