Staff Veterinarian
DVM
After attending college at Cal Poly Pomona and obtaining a bachelor's degree in General Biology with a minor in Chemistry, Dr. Autumn Denison furthered her education with receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences. Before joining the VCA Yorba Regional family, she had established her knowledge in the field by pursuing a grueling small-animal rotating internship at BluePearl Pet Hospital in Irvine. Her internship covered specialty medicine such as surgery, critical care and emergency, internal medicine, cardiology, nutrition and oncology. She found a special interest in pet nutrition and loves to help clients get started with their pet's weight loss plans.
In her free time, she tends to her garden adorned with roses and a mix of herbs and vegetables. With help of her husband, Shay, Dr. Denison takes care of a loving furry family of five cats, which grew from their two cat household after her work followed her home and one by one she accepted more animals in need into her heart and home.
