Dr. Smith is from the Edmonton area and has been an animal-lover from as far back as she can remember. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Alberta in 2006, specializing in Evolutionary Biology. Over the following years, Dr. Smith spent time working and volunteering in various settings: at the Valley Zoo, on a wildlife conservancy in South Africa, and even in a swine barn in Iowa just to name a few.

Dr. Smith developed her love of working with equine patients and completed an equine internship following veterinary school. Her practice has since then been comprised of both equine and small animal patients.


Most recently Dr. Smith is excited to share that as of 2021 she has completed her training in medical acupuncture and will now be able to offer acupuncture as well as myofascial therapy to her patients.
