Biography:
Tristan has been in emergency medicine since 2007 after graduating from University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine. He enjoys all aspects of ER practice but, over the years, especially appreciates the ability to mentor younger veterinarians and interact with clients during very stressful times. He strongly believes that the medicine part of his job is "easy" but the communicating part takes years to be proficient.

Tristan is married and has 3 kids, along with a herd of 5 cats. Four of them, a mother cat and three kittens, were obtained a week before the COVID lockdown occurred. His kids recall the initial months of 2020 very fondly as they got to watch Mama Cat nurse and help care for her kittens as they grew.

When not in scrubs, Tristan loves his gardens, traveling when possible, playing bass in an aging rock band, and is a heavy board game enthusiast. He especially enjoys cycling year-round and is a proud middle-aged man in Lycra.
