Dr. Nick Morphopoulos ("Dr. Nick") was born and raised in the East Bay. He studied animal physiology as an undergraduate at UC Davis and then completed veterinary school at UC Davis in 1993. He spend an additional year completing an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at University of Pennsylvania. Growing up he was surrounded by animals including chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, finches, parakeets, and of course dogs and cats. Both of his parents were in the medical field with his dad both teaching dentistry at UCSF as well as having a dental practice in the Berkeley Hills. With Dr. Nick's love of taking care of animals coupled with witnessing his father's enjoyment of caring for people, veterinary medicine has been his lifelong dream. After working as a veterinarian for 24 years in Novato, he joined the Tamalpais team to be closer to his home in Mill Valley. Dr. Nick's areas of interest include challenging internal medicine cases as well as surgery, dermatology and, of course, dentistry. When not at work, Dr. Nick spends most of his time with his wife and son enjoying the outdoors, and loves sports including kitesurfing, mountain biking, motocrossing, backpacking, and skiing.
