Dr. Andrea Jackman was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, where she developed a passion for veterinary medicine from an early age. She pursued her education in veterinary technology, earning both her associate and bachelor's degrees from Becker College in Leicester, Massachusetts, before returning to New York City. There, she participated in a veterinary technician internship at the Animal Medical Center in Manhattan. After collaborating with interns, residents, and veterinarians, she resolved to further her education.
In 2014, Dr. Jackman graduated from St. George's University in Grenada, West Indies, and completed her clinical year at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland. While she appreciates all facets of veterinary medicine, her primary interest lies in Urgent Care.
Currently, Dr. Jackman resides in Staten Island, New York, with her three cats. She is pleased to have returned to South Shore Animal Hospital, where she serves as an Urgent Care veterinarian.
