Dr. Jones grew up in a military family, living in many states as a child. A menagerie of cats, dogs, horses, and hamsters ensured that every new location was home. Her family settled in Maine when she started high school and still live there. As a horse crazy kid, Dr. Jones spent many hours attending Pony Club rallies and meetings, achieving her HA rating before graduating from Pony Club. She attended Lake Erie College in Painesville, Ohio, receiving her Bachelor's degree in Biology while also competing on the equestrian team and working in the breeding department. She then attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2002. Her professional interests include, geriatric care, lameness, and wellness.  

When not working Dr. Jones spends time with her daughter, her two low rider dogs, a cat, the best pony in the world, and a small herd of dairy goats. She is a good baker, a so so gardener and loves puzzles and true crime.
