Dr. Casey Spencer grew up in Monticello, Illinois, and has worked closely with animals her entire life. She began volunteer at her local veterinary clinic at 12 and went on to work as a technician throughout undergrad. She attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, for her undergraduate degree in animal sciences. Throughout undergrad she worked closely with many rescues and shelters. She then attended Ross University for her veterinary degree.
Dr. Spencer spent many summers and school breaks traveling to other countries to help animals in need. She also served as medical director for a small, non-profit, rescue all through veterinary school. After graduation, she moved to Oregon to work as a small animal veterinarian and joined VCA Sandy Animal Hospital in June of 2013. Dr. Spencer’s interests are dentistry, dermatology, weight loss plans, pain management, and client education.
Dr. Spencer spends her free time gardening, baking, exploring the outdoors and relaxing with her boyfriend, dog and 3 cats.
