Dr. Kimberly Atkinson is Medical Director of Rosebank Animal Hospital in Staten Island. She has been with VCA on and off for the last 17 years and has served as Medical Director of Twin City Animal Hospital in CT, and NYVH in NYC. She has also been an emergency practitioner at Metroplex Animal Hospital in Dallas, TX. Dr. Atkinson owned her own practice in Asheville, NC and has been an adjunct lecturer at the University of The West Indies. She is a graduate of Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine and has 2 adult children, Justin a Biochemist, and Maddison, a junior at UNCSA majoring in film editing. She is far from an empty nester with 3 dogs to keep her company; Maude a 15 y/o Cavalier, Bear a 4 y/o Rottweiler, and Bettie a 2 y/o blind, diabetic English Mastiff.
