Dr. Heidel is a proud native of Brooklyn, NY. She attended St. Joseph's College where she received her undergraduate degree in biology with a dual minor in chemistry and Spanish. She then traveled to Grenada, West Indes to attend St. George's University of Veterinary Medicine. Upon completing her clinical year at the University of Tennessee in 2023, Dr. Heidel started a rotating internship with an emphasis in emergency medicine at VCA RIVER.

After completing her internship, Dr. Heidel accepted a full-time associate emergency veterinarian position at VCA River. Dr. Heidel is excited to continue being a part of the VCA RIVER family.

In her free time, Dr. Heidel enjoys spending time outdoors, traveling, and providing for her three cats.
