Cassy received her Bachelor of Science degree in molecular biology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1988. After taking several years to refine her calling, she went on to graduate from the University of Miami School of Medicine graduate program in physical therapy in 1994. She received her board certification as a specialist in clinical orthopedics by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2001 and certification as a canine rehabilitation practitioner from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005.
She worked full time in the field of human physical therapy until 2005 when she then added canine rehabilitation to her daily routine. After working part-time in both areas for several years, she transitioned to canine rehabilitation full time.
In her free time she enjoys hiking/walking with her two dogs, Ahri and Jace, and spending time with family and friends.
She has been with VCA RIVER since opening in October 2005. She has a passion for the field of physical therapy and for animals of all kinds and can't imagine ever doing anything else.
