Dr. Littau grew up in San Jose, California, always knowing that she wanted to be a veterinarian. Although she was not allowed to have a pony in the backyard or a porpoise in the bathtub, she continued her pursuit of working with animals, passionately studying science and biology. She graduated from UC Davis with a bachelor's degree in Zoology, followed by her doctorate in veterinary medicine. Dr. Littau has been in small animal practice in the greater Seattle area for many years, and is especially interested in preventive medicine and caring for older pets. Her hobbies are gardening, crafts, sailing, and raising heritage chickens. She lives with her husband, son, a flock of Brahma chickens, a Persian cat, and the memories of some much loved German Shorthaired Pointers.
