Dr. Allison Peckham received her Bachelor of Science degree in Environment specializing in Biodiversity and Conservation from McGill University. After receiving her undergraduate degree, Dr. Peckham worked at the Canadian Museum of Nature as an educator. Always having been passionate about veterinary medicine and adventure, she moved to Scotland to pursue her dream. With numerous externships and expeditions under her belt, she graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2008 and returned to Ottawa to work as an emergency and critical care veterinarian. After a four-year stint taking care of the cats and dogs of Beverly Hills and surrounding areas, she decided to brave the Canadian winters once more and is proud to be part of the Pretoria Animal Hospital family.

When not taking care of your furry family members, Dr. Peckham enjoys hanging out with her own furry side-kick, a sweet senior Miniature Dachshund that answers to Vinyl Warhol. Her other hobbies include spinning, yoga, arts and culture, Ottawa's food and wine scene, and travel.
