LOS ANGELES – In the spirit of Giving Tuesday, VCA Charities, the charitable arm of VCA Animal Hospitals, is thrilled to announce the launch of the 2024 “A Home for the Holidays” campaign. This heartwarming initiative is dedicated to helping pets find and stay in loving homes by covering adoption costs and funding essential veterinary care to ensure adoption readiness.
The campaign kicks off on November 15 and runs through the end of the year. During this time, all pet owners visiting a VCA Animal Hospital will have the opportunity to donate any amount to support this cause. Every dollar raised will go directly towards medical care, spay and neuter services, adoption fees, and clearing shelter wish lists for pets awaiting their forever homes. In addition, VCA Charities invites all pet lovers nationwide to consider making a donation this Giving Tuesday, December 3, at vcacharities.org. No contribution is too small to make a significant difference in the lives of shelter pets.

At a time when many shelter pets are in urgent need of care and support, our Home for the Holidays campaign highlights the critical role we all play in providing these animals with a second chance. The state of shelter pets today demands our collective effort, and I am encouraged by the potential impact we can make together this holiday season,” said Kimberly West, President and Chair of the VCA Charities Board of Directors and Vice President for Corporate Affairs at VCA Animal Hospitals.
The funds raised through this campaign will support various initiatives, including:
- HOPE Funds (Helping Overcome Pet Emergencies): Providing financial support for income-qualified pet owners who cannot afford emergency veterinary care.
- Ready for Rescue Grants: Assisting in adoption readiness through veterinary care, enrichment, behavior training, and transport programs.
- Disaster Relief Grants: Funding veterinary care, transportation, medical supplies, resources, and temporary shelter following disasters impacting communities where VCA operates.
