Veterinary Assistant
Jaclyn began her career caring for animals in a shelter environment, through adoption counseling, managing the foster program, maintaining rescue partnerships, accepting owner surrenders, overseeing the community cat 'trap, spay/neuter, release' program, and assisting with the medical care, treatment, and intake of various animals. Jaclyn is passionate about fostering animals, and continues to foster cats, kittens, puppies, and dogs in need. Jaclyn then transitioned to a veterinary assistant position at a local clinic. Jaclyn's favorite part of working in this field is making sure pet parents and their pets feel comfortable and supported during their visit. Jaclyn is thrilled to be a part of the VCA Pike Creek team and to further her knowledge and experience within the veterinary field, and plans to earn her certification in veterinary technologies. When Jaclyn isn't working she spends her free time with her husband, Steven, and their three dogs and cat: Rocksteady, Cujo, Milkdud, and Nimrod. Jaclyn also likes baking, hiking, practicing yoga, rock climbing, reading, and tea.
