Dr. Brookman is an Associate Veterinarian and has been at VCA Peninsula since 2013. She is originally from Chicago but mainly grew up right here in San Diego. She graduated from Western University of Health Sciences in 2013 and then completed a small animal rotating internship at VCA Emergency Animal Hospital & Referral Center in San Diego. Dr. Brookman enjoys every aspect of being a family practitioner and is especially fond of internal medicine and working with senior pets. Dr. Brookman is Fear Free Certified and committed to making visits to the clinic as pleasant as possible for clients and their pets. She is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the San Diego Veterinary Medical Association.

Dr. Brookman loves to spend her spare time with her son doing outdoor activities like hiking, camping, traveling or just enjoying San Diego. Her furry family members include her two cats, Clover and Coco, and her dog, Nola (a Pit bull mix).
